I was using a Mac recently where some “weird stuff“ was happening. Installed Claude code. and asked it what was wrong– it called out “This machine has malware and is actually transferring files to the bad actor right now ––want me to stop it?“

Over the next 15 minutes, it not only stop the transfer, but identified the source of the malware, what files had been copied off the device, and other devices they had attempted to access. Incredible is an understatement.

As I’m writing this, I’m realizing I should’ve asked Claude code to strategize a counterattack. I wonder if it would’ve?
